Look through the PowerPoint below and have a go at some of the challenges. Then look at the matching cards and complete the activity sheet.
Maths - WALT: Understand thousandths
Starter - Answer the Week 7 Day 1 questions on the Flashback 4 PowerPoint below.
PSHE - WALT: Understand discrimination
Watch the film (you may wish to stop at approx 3.26 as the message has been made clear by this point).
Discuss:
- What do you think the people were feeling? (Unhappy, rejected, excluded).
- Why do you think they were feeling that way?
- Do you think their feelings were justified?
Are there any circumstances when people being treated differently makes sense and has a reason behind it? Examples include:
- Age – film categories for example.
- Gender – to protect privacy.
- Religion – food, clothing, places and opportunities for prayer.
- Why do you think she refused to move when asked to?
- What do you think was her strongest emotion at the time?
- Why did the bus driver think he could do act as he did?
- What do you think might have given Rosa hope when she was in jail?
- Why do you think Rosa Parks has become famous?
- What do you think people admire about the way she carried out about her protest?
Imagine the sorts of feelings and behaviours that ‘otherness’ might cause. Use the 2nd part of the Rosa Parks Activity sheet below to record your thinking.

If you are well enough, take part in a Joe Wicks workout. If you would prefer to take part in a different physical activity, you are welcome to do so.
If you have any time after, think of a wellbeing activity that you can do. This might be more exercise, playing a musical instrument or listening to music.
