Good morning, Here are today's tasks: Spelling Shed Reading Plus Times Table Rock Stars Spelling test Maths WALT: Interpret two-way tables Video Activity Answers English - COMPETITION WALT: Write a story based on a map Frank Cottrell-Boyce, who was the author we saw at the Literature Festival, loves using maps as a stimulus for his books. Have a go at sketching your own map, then write a story about it. Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin  was a  Russian  cosmonaut ( astronaut ). He became the first human in  space  on April 12, 1961, in a  rocket  launched by the  Soviet Union . Yuri Gagarin was born in the village of Klushino,  Russia , on 9th March 1934. His parents, Alexey Ivanovich Gagarin and Anna Timofeyevna Gagarina, worked on a farm . His mother was said to love reading, and his father was a skilled  carpenter . Yuri was the third of four children, and his elder sister helped raise him while his parents worked.
