Monday 1st June

Hello Class 5, I hope that you all had a wonderful half term and enjoyed the sunshine! 🌞😎 Here is a message for you and your parents: Please be aware that this term you will notice that the activities posted on the class blogs will be a little different from what you have been used to previously, for example, they may not always include an English and Maths lesson. This is for several reasons, i) there will be a focus on Well Being for the children (in and out of school) as we move through the Covid-19 journey; ii) normally during the summer term we have a range of curriculum focus weeks; iii) to ensure consistency for groups both attending school, or remaining at home. This approach will enable teaching staff to manage providing the planning for both groups in a workable manner. This week, the school will focus on Well Being in our school community and reflecting on the changes we have all had to make over the last two months. We will also be enjoying some new P.E activities

Class 5's News

Image
Hello Class 5, It's time for our news update!📷📧 First up we have Bibi with her wonderful artwork.🎨 Bibi also sent in a great piece of music that she composed for one of this week's music tasks. I really enjoyed listening to it - well done! 🎹⭐ Next up we have Leni who went bug hunting on a rainy day.🐛🔍 What a great idea for an activity - looks like you were successful! And here she is with a watermelon cocktail that she made - it looks delicious. 🍉😋 Here we have Evie and Olivia doing a great job of litter picking. They wanted to go litter picking today in the fields where they walk. Sadly they noticed people are dropping lots of litter there, more than usual. There were lots of glass bottles smashed as well as lots of general litter. Evie and Olivia were worried this could harm the wildlife and dogs that have their daily walk there and asked if they could pick it up. So, they got their gloves on and went litter picking, 70 minutes

Hello Everyone, We just wanted to tell you about the ‘Gloucestershire Rockstars Championship’ that you’re all going to have the chance to take part in next week. It’s a tournament against lots of other schools in the area that will be played using Times Tables Rock Stars. The tournament itself will run over three days from 12th – 14th May between 10am and 1pm each day. The idea is that you will try to answer as many questions as you can during those times. You’ll earn a point for each correct answer and these will be counted to work out the highest scoring individuals, classes and schools. This event is optional, but it would be brilliant if we can get as many of you involved as possible! You don’t need to be on it continuously, just go on for as long as suits you between 10am and 1pm. Every point will count - we’re aiming for the top of the leader boards! We’re going to be sending an email out to your parents about this too. In the meantime, please try and get in s
