Virtual Sports Day

Dear Parents, Normally at the end of the year, we would spend a day all together out on the field, taking part in our School Sports Day. We may not be able to do that this year, but it doesn't mean we can't have some sports day fun. Instead, this year we will be having a Virtual Sports Day. There are 5 challenges for you to complete to win house points for your house. For all the details, please click here . The competition starts now! You have until Wednesday 16th July to get your scores in. Please email them to the schools Admin email account, with the Subject ' Virtual Sports Day' and your name child's name and year. Good morning, Here are today's tasks: Spelling Shed Reading Plus Times Table Rock Stars Spelling test Maths WALT: Interpret two-way tables Video Activity Answers English - COMPETITION WALT: Write a story based on a map Frank Cottrell-Boyce, who was the author we saw at the Literature Festival, loves using maps as a stimulus for his books. Have a go at sketching your own map, then write a story about it. I have bought a copy of his latest book, Noah's Gold, as a prize for the most creative map and story.  Success criteria I have: Sketched a unique map which matches the story Used a wide range of adjectives and adverbs Described a setting in detail Included an imaginative dilemma Thought of a suitable story ending Please bring the maps and stories with you when you return to school.
