Times Table Rock Stars

English - WALT: Write a travel text

Write the first two sections of your travel brochure.

The first section should be about your destination (the country, the place or the places that you will visit). Use facts that you have researched. Build descriptive sentences with added clauses.  Make your destination sound amazing. You can use some of the work you did last term to help you do this.

The second section should be about an experience/excursion. Write about what they will see, feel etc. Make the experience sound appealing and inspiring.

Gloucestershire Rockstars Championship

Hello Everyone, We just wanted to tell you about the ‘Gloucestershire Rockstars Championship’ that you’re all going to have the chance to take part in next week. It’s a tournament against lots of other schools in the area that will be played using Times Tables Rock Stars. The tournament itself will run over three days from 12th – 14th May between 10am and 1pm each day. The idea is that you will try to answer as many questions as you can during those times. You’ll earn a point for each correct answer and these will be counted to work out the highest scoring individuals, classes and schools. This event is optional, but it would be brilliant if we can get as many of you involved as possible! You don’t need to be on it continuously, just go on for as long as suits you between 10am and 1pm.
