Times Table Rock Stars
English - WALT: To write an argument using cohesive devices
Look back at your plan from yesterday. Write a detailed argument about your chosen question.
Please follow the success criteria below:
- Use a range of adverbials for cohesion
- Use paragraphs to structure your argument
- Use emotive language
- Include statistics (75% of people say, most children, the vast majority of parents...)
- Formal style
- Class 5 No Excuses

Quiet Reading
Find a good book and somewhere comfortable to sit. Spend at least 20 minutes reading independently.
Science - WALT: Explain the effects of air resistance
The children in school still need a second lesson to complete this and conclude. If you have finished, please use the time to catch up on other work or have a go at the activity below.
You have been set the challenge to redesign a parachute for a skydiving company. You are to design and create 3 parachutes and see which type of parachute falls the slowest. Think about a variable that will change with each parachute. See the PowerPoint below for more details. Complete the attached sheets.
