English - WALT: Plan an argument using cohesive devices
Read the Detention sheet below. What does it argue for? What reasons does it give? Do you agree or not?
We will debate this in class.
Have a look at the use of adverbials (highlighted in green).
We are going to plan an argument based on the information Should children train to play pro-sports?. You are going to plan what to put in each of the 4 paragraphs. Make sure that you decide which adverbials you are going to use in each paragraph. Tomorrow we will write the argument.
Quiet Reading
Find a good book and somewhere comfortable to sit. Spend at least 20 minutes reading independently.
Computing - WALT: Understand how to stay safe online
Next week, you will be creating a comic strip about online safety. Look at the Online Safety PowerPoint to see an example of how to plan a story that shows the possible consequences of not following the online safety rules. How could the character stay safe the next time they take part in the same activity? Can you explain how to apply online safety rules to the scenario?
Plan a comic strip to complete next week.
Art - WALT: Create a range of tones to shade an object
Below is some of the information from last week's lesson. Using the natural object (or photograph) you found last week, take some time to create a close-up drawing of it. Don't forget to use the techniques that we have learnt about over the last few weeks. Use A4 paper and send me a picture of your finished drawing.

Take care,
